Dwell with Dignity’s Ashley Sharp was pleased to share her unique perspectives on nonprofit entrepreneurship at this year’s Dallas Startup Week.
Hosted by Southern Methodist’s Cox School of Business, Dallas Startup Week brings together entrepreneurs and change-makers for a week-long experience. Dallas Startup Week is described as the largest entrepreneurial event in North Texas, where attendees exchange ideas, collaborate, and grow within the 10th largest startup ecosystem in the US.
During the event, which took place the first week of August, Ashley continued to advance concepts such as her entrepreneurial approach to team-building in a growth-oriented nonprofit like Dwell with Dignity. As a nonprofit leader, Ashley is consistent in her belief that teams should seek to deliver the greatest return on donations, whether that’s funding or volunteer time. She also believes that nonprofits can play a vital role in advancing social impact through community-based marketplaces, a concept DwD is currently piloting in Dallas.
